Q: I went to Canvas and tried to log in, but it said "Invalid username or password."

A: Wellesley has its own subdomain for Canvas, which is wellesley.instructure.com. You need to always use this address, because it's the only one that your username and password will work on.

You probably did a web search for Canvas (like this), and it brought you to canvas.net or canvas.instructure.com.

Q: In the Safari browser, some images on Canvas won't load. Instead, they show up as blank boxes/placeholders.

A: This sometimes happens when using Safari on your iPad. The simplest short-term solution is to try using the Chrome browser. If you want to be able to use Canvas in Safari on your iPad, please try making this change to your iPad's settings, which should allow it to display those images:

  1. Go to Settings ➝ Safari

  2. UNCHECK “Prevent Cross-Site Tracking."

  3. Now try loading this page again.

Q: I'm not getting emails from Canvas (i.e., announcements, messages, assignment feedback, etc.) or I'm getting too many emails from Canvas.

A: You can adjust what Canvas notifies your @wpsraiders.org email address (and how often) by going here: https://wellesley.instructure.com/profile/communication.

I recommend using these settings, in order to make sure you don't miss anything important, but also so you don't unnecessarily flood your inbox with irrelevant messages!
